Classroom teacher resources Betsy Weigle

Betsy Weigle brings direct experience with children and curriculum to all of her recommended classroom teacher resources.

Her ability to connect with young people to help them achieve is the foundation of her success.

Betsy's professional experience includes teaching grades 3 through 5 and substitute teaching from Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Prior to becoming a classroom teacher, she worked as an assistant school secretary and invested in her own children as a classroom parent volunteer.

"Weigle" is pronounced "why-gull."

Experience she shares with you

She holds a Masters in Elementary Education & Teacher Certification from Eastern Washington University and has earned her National Board Certification.

She has attended the Mickelson ExxonMobil Teaching Academy for Science and Math, been a national finalist at the Microsoft Innovative Education Forum and been awarded an Enhancing Education through Technology Grant.

In addition to her teaching activities, these classroom teacher resources are based on Betsy's service on committees for Social Studies and Science curriculum development and her many roles as a trainer for both curriculum and technology implementation.

Betsy has devoted herself to the success of all learners, obtaining training to effectively teach special-education students, hearing- and vision-impaired students, English-learner students, students on the autism spectrum and any others whose needs indicate an increased commitment from a dedicated teacher.
